Construction of a mixed-use development comprising an assisted living residence for seniors and social housing.
A total of 97 senior housing units and 14 social rental dwellings are being developed in the centre of Cannes, just a few metres from Boulevard Carnot. The project also includes a shared car park spanning three basement levels.
The ground floor of the assisted living residence accommodates a library and a multipurpose activity room made available to local residents, as well as to users of the neighbouring nursery and school, in order to encourage intergenerational interaction.
The two programmes are articulated through a stepped volumetric composition, responding to the challenge of sensitive integration within the surrounding context while enabling residents to enjoy generous planted terraces.
