Design team appointment (design stage)
Environmental approach
BIODIVERCITY rating: Performant level
BREEAM rating: Very Good for the hotel and Excellent for the offices and soft industries
The buildings’ energy and carbon performance will target the 2028 threshold of the environmental regulations. To achieve this, the project develops a low-carbon architecture focused on three key levers:
Bioclimatic design of the buildings / Use of local renewable energy / Bio- and geo-sourced materials
Photovoltaic panels and urban wind turbines on the multi-storey car parks
Circular water management // Provision for connection to the future Vitrolles district heating network

The Aequatio project proposes an innovative business campus within the Marseille Provence Airport concession, combining architectural quality, user comfort and respect for the environment.
The masterplan prioritises active travel and frees the heart of the site from cars thanks to two peripheral multi-storey car parks.
The campus integrates a mix of uses (hotel, offices, soft industries, services) within a planted, lively setting.
The external works structure the project, encouraging social interaction and biodiversity.
The site is designed to be flexible, reversible and adaptable over time, with smart buildings offering ultra-connected, versatile and flexible office spaces.
Landscape is at the heart of the design, conceived as a functional framework supporting the campus activities.
